Re: New addon: ChainedSearch

Hi Roddy, I tested this today in IE7 and it doesnt work with that browser. There is nothing showing in the boxes and the loading symbols dont appear. 20% of visitors to my current site use IE6 and IE7. Also a couple of things dont validate over at http://validator.w3.org/

Re: New addon: ChainedSearch

Hi,

Give me a few days until I am settled, I just moved.
When everything is running fine here, I will look into the code.

Re: New addon: ChainedSearch

When you get the chance to have a look at this Roddy could you also check out the following problem I am having?

It's with the last field in the chain. The first is 'Country' the second is 'State' and the third is 'City'. When a user selects a country, then a state and then a city, the search results show all in the state – not just the city. Yet when selecting the city, the number of listings in brackets after the city name is correct.

Re: New addon: ChainedSearch

Sorry for the delay.
I moved and am working now through mobile Internet. Serious!

There is a new version:chainedsearch-012.zip
- This version is XHTML compliant.
- Possible to use the 'form' and 'table' tag on the same page.
- Tested with IE 6 & 8, Firefox 3.6 and Google Chrome.

NB: Orodha 1.08 is not completely XHTML compliant.
Please add in template/xx/search_page_default.php <ul></ul> around the {search_fields} tag.
<ul>{search_fields}</ul>
or when using ChainedSearch addon:
<ul>{addon_chainedsearch_form}{search_fields}</ul>

Mel: could you send me a PM with a web address so I can see whats happening?
